Mathematical Tiling
Firstly we battened the entire house to gauge, worked the Flemish bond so that all the features around windows and doors had perfect sized closures and worked symmetrically up the house. Using all the original tiles (that we cleaned prior) we proceeded to screw (using weather proof Zinc Passivated screws) the tiles in bond to the battens and laying / pointing with a custom uniformly graded lime mortar, using a flush and brushed finish.
Executed professionally Mathematical Tiling should have the aesthetics of perfectly laid brickwork and is hugely effective.
